Ease into the Morning Routine | | Meet our savvy student blogger, Jessica Slaughter. She’s sharing some great tips she learned along the way to help you prepare and get ready for this fall semester. About two weeks before school begins is a great time to start waking up at the time you’ll need to be up for your first class. Take into account getting ready, eating breakfast, and walking/driving to class, along with an extra few minutes because you’ll probably need them one day. | | Organize and Goal Set | A successful semester is all about finding the motivation to work hard and commit to your goals, and that’s a lot easier when you feel organized! | | You’ll be spending a lot of time at your desk, so start by making that spot as organized and motivational as possible. Make sure you have enough space to lay out a textbook, your laptop, and a notebook! | | | | PayPal’s recommendation – Protect your Mac or PC against file corrupting viruses, malware and spyware with Norton Security and avoid the “virtual dog ate my homework” excuse. | | | | Money Talks | Whether you’re moving in with new roommates or old friends, it’s important to talk with them about who’s paying for what as soon as possible. If you’re in a dorm, you might only need to split on groceries and dorm décor. Apartments are another story though, and the list of shared expenses includes utilities, rent, groceries, and party supplies. | | PayPal’s recommendations – check out cool décor from Our Campus Market. The PayPal mobile app is a great way to split up these expenses by sending and requesting money right from your phone. If your roommates don’t have PayPal accounts yet, signing up is fast and free. This gives you plenty of time to stay in and watch movies together on Google Play, or hit the town and head out using Uber. | | | | | | |
